Free Plan Details
The Free plan is perfect for:
- Personal websites and blogs
- Side projects
- Evaluating Pingara before upgrading
- Small startups just getting started
What You Get
5 monitors — Enough for a typical small project:
1. Website homepage
2. API health endpoint
3. Blog
4. Landing page
5. Admin panel
5-minute check intervals — Your monitors run every 5 minutes, meaning you'll know about an outage within ~10 minutes (2 consecutive failures × 5 minutes).
1 monitoring region — Checks run from a single region (US East by default). Sufficient for basic uptime tracking, but no multi-region redundancy.
Email alerts — Receive down and recovery notifications via email. One alert policy with email channels.
1 status page — Create one public status page for your users with up to 100 email subscribers.
7-day data retention — Check results and incident history retained for 7 days. Older data is automatically archived.
Free Plan Limitations
- No multi-region monitoring (higher false positive risk)
- Longer detection time (minimum 10 minutes to incident)
- No advanced alert channels (Slack, Teams, etc.)
- No ICMP ping monitoring
- No custom HTTP methods (HEAD, POST)
- Single team member only

Downgrading to Free
How to Downgrade
- Go to Settings → Billing
- Click Switch to Free
- Confirm the downgrade
What Happens When You Downgrade
Pingara gracefully handles the transition:
Monitors:
- If you have more than 5 monitors, the most recently created monitors are paused (not deleted)
- You choose which 5 to keep active
Check intervals:
- Monitors with intervals shorter than 5 minutes are automatically set to 5 minutes
Regions:
- Multi-region monitors are reduced to 1 region (primary region kept)
Alert channels:
- Non-email channels are disabled (not deleted)
- If you upgrade again, they're restored
Status pages:
- If you have more than 1 status page, extras are unpublished (not deleted)
Team members:
- Existing members retain access, but no new invitations can be sent
- You can manually remove members to reach the 1-member limit
Data retention:
- Data older than 7 days is gradually archived
- Download exports before downgrading if you need historical data
Important: Downgrading never deletes your data or configuration. Features are disabled or paused, and everything is restored if you upgrade again.
