Terms of Service

Welcome to Pingara. These terms explain what you can expect from the service, what we expect from you, and the limits of what we can promise. By accessing or using Pingara, you agree to be bound by them.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Pingara. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any information you provide is accurate and complete.

Your Account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, including safeguarding your credentials and the actions of anyone you invite to your organization. If you believe your account has been compromised, notify us promptly at support@pingara.io.

Acceptable Use

Pingara is built to monitor services you own or are authorized to monitor. You agree that you will:

  • Only monitor websites and services that you own or have explicit permission to access.
  • Not use the service to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to any system or network.
  • Not attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or any other technical restriction built into the service.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and the rights of others when using Pingara.

Plans, Billing & Cancellation

Pingara offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Each plan has its own limits — on how many monitors you can run, how often they check, how many regions they check from, how long we keep your history, and how many team members and status pages you get. Current limits are shown on our pricing page, and we enforce them as you use the service.

Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis through Stripe, our payment processor, and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; your Pro access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and is not prorated. If a payment fails, we allow a short grace period to update your billing details before the organization returns to the Free plan.

When an organization returns to the Free plan, we do not delete your account, but we do bring it within Free plan limits:

  • Monitors. All but your oldest monitor are paused, check intervals are slowed to the Free plan minimum, and checks are reduced to a single region.
  • Status pages. All but your oldest status page stop displaying monitoring data. The address keeps working and shows a Pingara notice instead.
  • Team & history. Pending invitations expire, and monitoring history is kept for the shorter Free plan retention window.

Upgrading again restores Pro limits, but data already aged out of the Free plan retention window cannot be recovered.

Your Content

You keep all rights to the information you put into Pingara — your monitor configuration, status page content, and the monitoring history we generate for you. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service on your behalf: to run your checks, store and process the results, display them back to you, and send the notifications you have configured.

Monitoring Is Not a Guarantee

Pingara is a best-effort monitoring service, not a safety net you should rely on alone. Checks can be delayed or missed, probes and regions can themselves fail, and alerts depend on third parties — email providers, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, PagerDuty, or your own webhook endpoint — that we do not control.

This means an outage may be detected late, reported inaccurately, or not reported at all. Treat Pingara as one signal among several, and do not depend on it as your sole safeguard for anything critical.

Suspension & Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that could harm Pingara, our users, or third parties.

You may stop using Pingara at any time. To remove your monitoring data you delete your organization, which deletes the monitors, check results, and incident history belonging to it; you can then delete your account, which is blocked for as long as you remain a member of an organization. Our Privacy Policy sets out both steps and what each one removes.

Your Data & Privacy

Your data is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which describes what we collect, how we use it, and the third-party providers involved. By using Pingara, you consent to that processing.

Disclaimer of Warranty

Pingara is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that monitoring results will be complete or accurate at all times.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pingara is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, or lost data — including losses arising from an outage you did not learn about because a check or an alert did not reach you. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may change as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date above. Your continued use of Pingara after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
